HYDERABAD: A 45-year-old sweeper who worked in a girl's hostel became a victim of alleged malfunctioning carry in a residential- cum- industrial construction on Thursday night at Himayathnagar. Assuming that the carry had arrived, a lady opened the outer grill of the carry and stepped in to the shaft at 5th ground, but to her dangerous luck there was no carry and she or he came crashing down.
Narayanaguda police stated that K Rekha, a resident of Ziaguda, was working as a sweeper at Lakshmi Vivantha Girls Hostel, which is on Telugu Academy Road in Himayathnagar.
It was at 5.30 pm Rekha was meant to return down from the fifth ground by means of using the carry. Rekha opened the carry's outer grill assuming that it was already there and stepped in. Ideally, the outer grill is supposed to release and slid best when the carry reaches a particular ground.
Due to the alleged malfunctioning of the carry, the sweeper pulled the grill and it began to slid (from left to proper) and it's unknown how Rekha failed to note that there was no carry, stepped into the hallow place and fell on the carry which was in truth stationed at the first ground.
"The victim suffered fracture in both her legs and was shifted to Osmania General Hospital (OGH) the place she died after few hours,’’ Narayanaguda Sub-Inspector Saidulu informed TOI.
