Illegal arms making units busted in Ballia & Azamgarh

VARANASI: Two illegal palms production devices had been busted in Ballia and Azamgarh districts on Tuesday and several other pistols and equipment had been recovered. Five persons had been also arrested on this connection, stated police.

Acting on a tip off, the police raided a spot at Nibi Khurd village in Mubarakpur house of Azamgarh district and arrested two persons — Bachchelal and Subhash. Both had been fascinated about production illegal palms for a long time. The police also recovered nine pistols, 5 half-made pistols and other equipments. Azamgarh SP Triveni Singh stated that right through interrogation, the arrested persons knowledgeable the police that the pistols had been offered on the rate of Rs 2,500-Rs 3,000 according to piece. They used to supply the illegal palms in Azamgarh and other places.


The other illegal production unit was once unearthed at Sikandarpur village in Arhi house of Ballia district, the place 3 persons had been arrested and seven pistols and two half-made pistols, six pipes, six cartridges and equipment had been recovered. According to Narahi Inspector Tej Bahadur Singh, the arrested persons had been identified as Aurangzeb Ansari, Govind Rajbhar and Sunil Gond. They used to supply palms to Bihar and other places in UP.
