Rajkot: A 60-year-old faculty van driver used to be arrested on Friday for allegedly molesting a six-year-old lady on the outskirts of Naranpar village of Bhuj taluka in Kutch district on April 13.
The accused used to be identified as Madhukant Gor, a resident of Suratpar village of Bhuj taluka.
According to police, Gor owns a college van and drives the students from Naranpar and Surajpar villages to their faculty and drop them again to their houses.
On the evening of April 13, after losing the entire scholars at their houses, Gor allegedly picked up the girl and put her on his lap and sexually assau
lted her.
“After the girl complained to her mother concerning the ache in her private portions and narrated what Gor had executed to her, her mother lodged the criticism against Gor,” said Janaksinh Rana, sub-inspector with Mankuva police station.
The lady used to be taken for scientific exam, and Gor used to be booked underneath section 376 (1) of Indian Penal Code, dealing with molestation, and underneath various sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
