Spat between Palam Vihar society’s RWA and residents reaches PMO

Gurgaon: The battle between the residents welfare affiliation (RWA) of Park View Residency (PVR) in Palam Vihar and its residents has reached your doorstep of the PMO. A few weeks after PVR residents wrote a letter to PM Modi, alleging their RWA is being managed by means of a handful of people that were given elected in an undemocratic means, the RWA has additionally written to the PM. In his letter dated April 14, PVR RWA president S C Kumar has centered the chairman of Haryana Housing Board, Jawahar Yadav, a close aide of Haryana chief minister M L Khattar.
Kumar’s letter alleges intimidation, harassment and abuse of energy by means of Yadav. “For the previous 365 days, Jawahar Yadav has been intimidating and harassing our elected RWA. Talking to TOI, Kumar said residents are trying to dislodge him. “There is yet another year before the RWA elections can be held, however some residents, through Jawahar Yadav, have controlled to place pressure on the district registrar, as a way to pressure elections before my time period ends. Yadav is not even a resident of this housing society,” he said.


Yadav has refuted those charges. “Residents approached me as I happen to stick near this housing society. You would be appalled to know that over 93% of PVR residents are in opposition to Kumar and different RWA place of job bearers, on account of their corrupt practices and undemocratic tactics of functioning. I’m instructed that PVR had mounted deposits working into several crore rupees, which have vanished. If Kumar has any proof to prove that I put pressure on him, he should put those out in the public area. His charges are baseless,” he instructed TOI.


According to resources, after PVR residents wrote to the PM, the Haryana CM intervened in the subject and gave instructions for recent RWA elections to be held at the earliest. Several residents IdealNews spoke to asserted that the RWA does function in an undemocratic means and that most residents need recent elections to be held.


“There is big corruption occurring in this society. RWA place of job bearers are delivering contracts for security, etc., on the sly. Whoever raises his or her voice will get bashed up and threatened. After a long combat, the district registrar has now agreed to carry recent elections. This tactic by means of the RWA to write down to the PM is an act of desperation, to stall the election,” said a resident, soliciting for anonymity. Talking to TOI, district registrar I S Yadav said they are going to uphold whatever a majority of the residents want.
