Woman raped in car, SHO takes no action, suspended

MOHALI: Sohana police station space officer used to be on Tuesday suspended for negligence in a rape case. Inspector Daljeet Singh allegedly did not take any action after receiving a complaint of a 22-year-old girl being raped in a automobile in large sunlight in Sohana on Monday. Mohali senior superintendent of police Harcharan Singh Bhullar stated, “We have suspended inspector Daljeet Singh for negligence in rape case. We have registered a case under Section 376 (punishment for rape) of the IPC at the Sohana police station and began investigation.”
