THANE: Five dacoits have been arrested for allegedly robbing the Vajreshwari temple previous this month. They have been known as Vineet Chimda (19), Bharat Wagh (22), Jagdish Navtare (26), Pravin Navtare (22) from Shahpur, and Govind Gimbal (35) from Jawhar.
Police said there are 3 extra accomplices nonetheless on the run. On May 10, the dacoits climbed the hill in the back of the temple, tied the lone watchmen up, and fled with Rs 7.1 lakh from the handis.
"The booty, an additional sum of Rs 2.4 lakh, and two motorcycles were recovered," said a senior police officer of Thane Rural Police.
