With greater than 70% of the 27 seats going to polls in the last two stages in Uttar Pradesh, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav will have to make sure that his votebank — OBCs — roots for SP’s alliance spouse BSP. Mayawati has fielded her applicants in 17 of the 27 seats that will see a BJP-gathbandhan contest on May 12 and 19.
