Roger Federer out of Italian Open with right leg injury

ROME: World quantity 3 Roger Federer pulled out of the Italian Open earlier than his quarter-final match on Friday with a proper leg injury.

Federer, a four-time Rome finalist, were due to meet Greek 8th seed Stefanos Tsitsipas for a place in the semi-finals.


The Swiss 20-time Grand Slam winner was once playing in Rome to organize for his go back to the French Open for the primary time since 2015.

"I am disappointed that I will not be able to compete today," stated Federer.
