To eliminate irregularities in road laying initiatives, the Greater Chennai Corporation commissioner has ordered the engineering department to follow a process — first to finalise a checklist to ensure an entire learn about was achieved at the new road, and the second to ensure engineers visited the spots where road was laid, to ensure contractors adopted norms.
