MANIPAL: Asare, a house for particular kids, with a school and rehabilitation centre for autism and finding out issues, will have a good time its 10th anniversary on Saturday in Manipal.
The celebrations shall be inaugurated via Shobha Karandlaje, MP, Udupi-Chikkmagaluru; Dr H S Ballal, professional chancellor, MAHE, will preside over the function.
Asare is a joint undertaking of Manipal Academy of Higher Education and Archana Trust. The celebrations shall be held in two portions. The morning function shall be adopted via a prize distribution ceremony, at which Dr Vasanti R Pai, trustee, MAHE Trust, would be the chief visitor and Dr H Vinod Bhat, vice-chancellor, MAHE, will preside, and Indira Ballal, wife of Dr H S Ballal, would be the visitor of honour.
Asare, with 40 inmates and 10 day students, supplies vocational training in fundamental pc operations, tailoring, making plates with paper and areca leaf sheaths, making crepe paper plants, greeting cards, paper luggage and envelops. One of the inmates, Archana, is a world swimmer who lately won a bronze medal on the Special Olympics World Summer Games in Abu Dhabi.
