At least 4 other people have died recently in Garhwa and Palamu after suffering heatstrokes as mercury levels hovered above 45°C in the two districts. Kharondhi police station officer in-charge C B Singh stated one Bachau Baitha (80), a resident of Chandni village in Garhwa, died of heatstroke overdue on Saturday night.
