Kutch is being compelled to undergo water scarcity in spite of having enough water to meet its day by day requirement, claimed a PIL in Gujarat High Court. The petition, which came up for hearing on Friday, claimed that as in keeping with water resources department, there's enough water to be had in the district as a result of Narmada canal and other resources.

“In Karo Dunbar and lots of portions of Abdasa and Lakhpat, villagers have to walk for miles to fetch water. They get water provide as soon as or, in uncommon cases, two times a month. Denying that there was a problem of water scarcity in Kutch, DDO Prabhav Joshi said, “It is a big geographical house with around 900 villages. There are small scattered hamlets where it's not viable to put pipelines, so water is equipped by way of tankers. In villages we have now formed water committees. Internal water answer device has been activated in a few bigger spaces. Recently, a plan price Rs 2 crore was sanctioned and it will be carried out very quickly.”
