Movie Review: Devi 2 - 2/5

Devi 2 Story: A doting wife is going via a hard time seeking to save her husband who's possessed by way of two spirits

Devi 2 Review: Many movies within the fresh past which were billed as 'horror-comedy' had been devoid of each the elements - Vijay's Devi 2 is the newest to enroll in the bandwagon. The first phase which had Tamannaah and Prabhu Deva in excellent shape is wasted here, thanks to mediocre writing. Contrary to the prequel, Devi 2 has Krishna (Prabhu Deva) possessed by way of two spirits, whilst his wife Devi (Tamannaah) has a difficult time dealing with it with the assistance of a chum (Kovai Sarala). How Devi lodges to more than a few tactics to save lots of her husband and their family existence is narrated in a lifeless manner. The story, this time, is ready within the backdrop of Mauritius for an unconvincing reason why and plenty of scenes appear staged and unreal.

The parallel tracks involving Nandita and Dimple don't leave any impact and the mash-up of scenes from different movies in a an important scene presentations dearth of originality. Sonu Sood and RJ Balaji make brief and useless appearances, and Kovai Sarala does what she does in lots of the movies. The songs don't add any price to the film, and the conflicts and antagonists are poorly written. A half-baked story with a decent celebrity forged with excellent possible is let down because of lack of passion which is obvious all over. Overall, Devi 2 joins the lengthy checklist of unimpressive sequels in Kollywood.
