Extending the assured income strengthen (PM-Kisan) scheme for farmers can even benefit over eight lakh large landholders — having landholding size of 10 hectares (just about 25 acres) and more — across the country. The scheme used to be prolonged on Friday by way of putting off the ceiling of 2 hectares, making all 14.5 crore farmers eligible for benefit under the scheme.
