China marked 30 years since the fatal Tiananmen crackdown on Tuesday with a wall of silence and further safety after arresting activists and tightening web censorship forward of the politically delicate anniversary. The web page of the pro-democracy protests was brutally extinguished by means of tanks and infantrymen on June 4, 1989.
