Seventeen-year-old Pushpa needed to drop out of faculty after Class V as a result of her native Baithakwa village in Koraon block of the district didn’t have simple access to potable water. As the hand pump near her space lay defunct for months, she needed to trek to a neighbouring village and brave abuses to fetch water.
