GUWAHATI: Finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday attacked former chief minister and senior Congress chief Tarun Gogoi, accusing him of practising "hit-and-run" within the meeting. Gogoi should now face the house and make statements in it, mentioned Himanta.
He also attacked the opposition, mainly the Congress, for alleging that not anything has been performed from the price range proposals of the ultimate two years.
"Former chief minister Tarun Gogoi practised hit-and-run in the House. He criticised me with a personal attacks during the debate on the budget. When my turn came today, he is not present here," Sarma mentioned in his answer to near discussion on the 2018-19 price range. The former chief minister had taken part within the ongoing discussions on the price range on March 13.
"Speaker Sir, I never said that Tarun Gogoi is the best CM. If he cannot give proof those lines should be expunged from records," Sarma mentioned.
"I did not praise his son Gaurav and that is why I could not stay in Congress," mentioned Sarma, who had handled other portfolios as cupboard minister for 15 years underneath Gogoi. agencies
