ALLAHABAD: At a time when many celebrated Diwali and contributed to the garbage which lay scattered at the highway, a professor on the department of Botany of Allahabad University, Prof N B Singh took up the problem of cleaning the trainer's colony located on the campus of MNNIT's faculty quarters, on Saturday.
Prof Singh, who is also the garden incharge of AU, also caught grasp of 3 snakes, from the shrubs that he cleaned on Saturday. The snakes were later let pass loose in the jungles of Phaphamau. Among these 3, two were toxic.
Prof Singh, who is also identified for commuting on cycle for the reason that day he joined AU, had previous hogged the limelight when he, in conjunction with around 3 extra cleaning staff of AU, cleaned the campus, walls and roads around AU and got rid of the posters and handbills which had littered at the highway. Interestingly, Prof Singh don't reside on this colony but nonetheless cleaned the similar.
On Saturday, Prof N B Singh arrived on the trainer's colony of MNNIT campus which properties the legitimate quarters of each AU and MNNIT academics. His workforce cleaned not best the roads but the main focus of the work was once cleaning up the thickly grown shrubs and vegetation at the campus of the colony which had turn out to be protected haven for mosquitos and quite a lot of other insects harmful for people.
"I have taken up the challenge of not only making students and teachers aware of keeping their surroundings clean but I am also cleaning these places, but it sometimes pinches there is nil participation from others like recently, when in was cleaning a hostel, some of the inmates were showing me the dirty places so that I could clean it rather than joining me with a broom". But nonetheless the pledge would pass on, taking hostels, campuses and building of AU, he added.
