BJP to observe November 8 as 'anti-black money day'

NEW DELHI: The BJP will mark the first anniversary of demonetisation on November eight as 'anti-black cash day', finance minister Arun Jaitley mentioned on Wednesday as he took on the opposition for its criticism of the federal government transfer to scrap top value notes last year.

Senior birthday party leaders will fan out around the nation to tell the public about the benefits of demonetisation as part of the plan to look at November eight as 'anti-black cash day'.

Jaitley slammed the Congress for its opposition to demonetisation and mentioned it did not take any step to curb the risk of black cash when it was in power. "The Congress had good enough opportunity to be in power. I will't recollect a single vital step they ever took towards black cash. They had reconciled to India dwelling with a shadow economy.

"It is understandable that it would never be on the political agenda in their leadership. I will understand their discomfort. If there's an ideological polarisation over a debate on November eight over the issue of pro-excess cash economy and anti-black cash, then the BJP will without a doubt take it ahead," Jaitley mentioned.

The FM added that those that had destroyed the rustic were delivering sermons now.
