Meanwhile, the railway management has claimed to have taken steps to do so towards hawkers. "There are no hawkers present on the railway premises. The railway protection force has taken stern action against hawkers this year as compared to last," stated Sunil Udasi, chief public relations officer, Central Railway.


The MNS has reiterated that it'll proceed to do so towards unlawful hawkers till the authorities get a hold of a concrete resolution. "We have warned the hawkers not to set up business here henceforth else they will face the music from our activists. Commuters have been facing the brunt of these vendors who squat outside the station blocking the road," stated MNS Thane president Avinash Jadhav.
