Dhoni should stick to batting at No 4: Ganguly

KOLKATA: Former India captain Sourav Ganguly insisted that Mahendra Singh Dhoni must persist with batting at No four which will permit him and Virat Kohli may just play the finishers' position.

"Let him play at number four. He will finish from there. Finisher does not mean he has to bat from the 40th over. Virat (Kohli) bats at three and he is finishing games. It's a wrong concept that a finisher has to come lower down the order. Dhoni got India over the ropes in the other match batting at four," Ganguly mentioned at the sidelines of Cricket Association of Bengal's tie up with VLCC on Thursday.

New Zealand defeated India by way of 19 runs whilst protecting 260 in Ranchi on Wednesday, in a match India's premier batsman were given out for 45.

Ganguly alternatively mentioned India were not becoming an excessive amount of over depending on Kohli.

"He (Virat Kohli) is an excellent player, but I don't think the team is becoming too dependent on him. New Zealand is a good side. They will win some matches also," he mentioned.

The CAB previous joined fingers with VLCC for promotion of cricket and other sports within the districts. This will likely be a two-year deal that may permit CAB to promote cricket and other sports.
