Patna: A 16-year-old lady was allegedly gang-raped by means of an auto-rickshaw motive force and his buddy in Hajipur in Vaishali district on Saturday night time.
When the government rail police (GRP) personnel took the rape survivor to ladies police station in Jarua space for police and clinical consideration, the premises was discovered locked. Hajipur GRP SHO Imaran Ali stated his telephone calls to the SHO of the ladies police station too remained unanswered.
The victim was then taken to Sadar sanatorium by means of GRP personnel for treatment. An FIR was later registered at Town police station and the auto-rickshaw motive force was arrested. His partner continues to be on the run.
Women police station SHO Poonam Kumari, alternatively, denied that the police station was locked. She argued that the police station didn't have proper security arrangements and that’s why she avoided staying there. On the question of why she didn't take the GRP SHO’s telephone calls, Kumari stated she didn't recognize his quantity.
