GJM takes out rallies in Darjeeling,demands police withdrawal

DARJEELING: The Gorkha Janamukti Morcha took out rallies in more than a few portions of the Darjeeling hills these days tough restoration of Internet products and services and immediate withdrawal of police pressure.


No incident of violence has been reported since ultimate evening but the police and safety body of workers are holding a vigil because the indefinite strike known as through the GJM, in enhance of its demand for a separate Gorkhaland, entered its 50th day these days.


12 activists of GJM's adolescence wing, the Yuva Morcha, are gazing a fast-unto-death over the demand for Gorkhaland, since July 21. "We want our separate state of Gorkhaland. And in our new state, there is no place for police personnel from Bengal. This indefinite shutdown will continue and we are ready to sacrifice our lives for Gorkhaland," GJM adolescence wing president Prakash Gurung stated.


Apart from the GJM, a number of different hill parties and intellectuals have plans to march on the streets of Darjeeling with black flags and placards. Barring pharmacies, all shops, faculties and faculties remained closed. Internet products and services are suspended since June 18.
