PANAJI: State-run Kadamba buses scheduled to more than a few locations in Maharashtra resumed on Saturday after being non-operational for the ultimate three days.
"We are relieved that passengers who were inconvenienced as a result of the buses' suspension are able to avail of the services again. The bus service by Kadamba Transport Corporation Limited (KTCL) to different parts of Maharashtra will continue uninterrupted," stated KTCL chairman, Carlos Almeida.
Earlier this week, over one lakh employees of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation had long past on an indefinite strike challenging the implementation of the seventh Pay Commission. Owing to safety issues, KTCL suspended its buses to the neighbouring state. The suspension of the state-run bus provider critically affected passengers travelling from Goa.
