PM Modi yet to accept note ban was a disaster: Rahul Gandhi on 'Anti-Black Money Day'

NEW DELHI: In a fresh assault on the NDA govt, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi mentioned the dual torpedoes of GST and demonetisation had ruined the rustic's economic system.

Taking a swipe on the Centre's resolution to celebrate November eight, the anniversary of the observe ban, as 'Anti-Black Money Day', Rahul mentioned Prime Minister Modi had yet to accept that demonetisation were a disaster.

"November 8 is a sad day for India. But the BJP said that they will celebrate November 8 as 'Anti-Black Money Day'. I don't know what is there to celebrate," he instructed mediapersons after a meeting with former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in the nationwide capital.



Rahul mentioned the Prime Minister should perceive the emotions of the country's proletariat and surrender the plan to carry festivities for a coverage resolution which resulted in the deaths of ratings of other people.

"PM has failed to understand the pain the country's poor have gone through. He still hasn't accepted the reality. Demonetisation was an out and out disaster," he mentioned.

Earlier, the Gandhi scion had chaired a meeting of Congress basic secretaries to chalk out plans for the primary observe ban anniversary, being seen as 'Black Day' across the country by way of main opposition events.


According to sources, Rahul discussed plans for the national protests on November eight, the day prime worth forex notes have been scrapped in a shock announcement by way of PM Modi.


Eighteen opposition events have banded together to nook the Narendra Modi govt over its implementation of the observe ban by way of marking the observe ban anniversary as Black Day.


In a bid to counter the opposition marketing campaign, Finance minister Arun Jaitley had declared that the federal government will celebrate November eight as 'Anti-Black Money Day' and all distinguished leaders, union ministers, state ministers and workplace bearers will take part in programmes across the country.
