GURGAON: Palam Vihar police station registered an FIR against 50 other folks, together with women, beneath sections 147 (rioting), 149 (unlawful meeting), 186 (obstructing public servant), 283 (obstruction in public manner) and 341 (wrongful restraint) of the IPC, following a protest by means of citizens of Bestech Park View Residency and Mahindra Aura societies in Palam Vihar.
The citizens had taken out a protest on Friday against a concrete highway right outdoor their housing society, whose development they said were deserted halfway by means of the contractor, as a result of which the street was once including to town's already-poor pollution ranges. According to citizens, that they had taken permission to hold the protest, and that sub-divisional Justice of the Peace (SDM) Bharat Bhushan had promised them of motion to handle their concerns.
"Lodging FIR against the RWA and residents is backstabbing. We protested peacefully and withdrew after the SDM's assurance," said Vikas Kumar, a member of Park View Residency RWA. Residents said the Palam Vihar SHO, who was once at the spot, should have observed there was once no tiff, and that neither had the cops presented a warning, which can have warranted such motion. "Police was there. There was no violence, we were protesting peacefully," said Yashesh Yadav, RWA president, Mahindra Aura.
Following reviews of the FIR, citizens rushed to the state PWD minister Rao Narbir Singh, who assured them no additional motion shall be taken. The Palam Vihar SHO, Vikram Nehra, despite the fact that promised follow-up motion. "We've registered FIR for obstruction and common intent. Arrests will follow," said the SHO.
TOI had reported on Saturday that citizens of Park View Residency were observed wearing pollution masks on Friday as protest against MCG. They said the contractor deserted the work at the highway alleging dues unpaid by means of MCG, and that MCG hasn't followed NGT norms in the web site.
MCG, despite the fact that, feigned lack of information. "I'm not aware of the situation, as such work is undertaken by the engineering wing," further municipal commissioner Narhari Banger had instructed TOI on Saturday.
