Respite in rains in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: Most portions of the country's IT capital pounded by heavy downpour over the last two days are slowly limping again to normalcy these days, with respite in rains until night time. Though cloudy, the lull in the rain gave a sigh of reduction to the citizens who had witnessed flooded roads, drainage water getting into properties in low-lying areas and automobiles floating on the basements the previous day.


The rainfall that started on Friday night had continued for almost the entire of the previous day causing visitors snarls on arterial roads of town.


The worst hit was once south and japanese portions of the Bengaluru - Koramangala, HSR Layout, Begur, J P Nagar, Begur, Anugraha Layout, Bommanahalli, Gottigere amongst other areas.


According to officers town received about 47 mm of rainfall. The Met division officers have forecast generally cloudy skies with a couple of spells of rain or thundershowers likely in the city for the following 48 hours.


They mentioned most and minimum temperatures very more likely to be around 28 and 20 Degree Celsius respectively.
