WASHINGTON: President Donald Trump has honoured two Indian-American businessmen in recognition in their small but significant contribution to the US economic system.
Trump felicitated Sharad Thakkar and Karan Arora along side seven other homeowners of minority companies within the Oval Office of the White House on Tuesday.
Thakkar is president of Polymer Technologies, which is recipient of Minority Energy Firm of the Year.
Based out of Ohio, Polymer Technologies works with plastic industry folks to turn into their throwaway scrap plastic into precious uncooked subject matter.

During his interaction with Thakkar and Arora along side other awardees inside the robust Oval Office, Trump "congratulated all of us" and said he's "proud of" minority companies and their contribution in creating jobs within the country.
Praising Trump's new policies, Arora said businessmen like him want to spend more time on "business planning rather than tax planning."
Simplifying the tax code would surely assist the minority companies, he said.
"The tax reform, would not only simplify the process, but also put more money into businesses," Thakkar instructed PTI.
In his remarks, Trump said his Administration is deeply dedicated to empowering minority trade homeowners.
"We're working to lift government barriers so that you can thrive, prosper, and grow," he said.
Ross said national, there are 996,246 minority-owned firms with paid workers ultimate 12 months, up four.9 in keeping with cent from the prior 12 months.
And those minority-owned companies produced USD 1.1 trillion of annual earnings, he said.
