Vasco: Water supply to Mormugao taluka used to be affected on Wednesday.
Reason being, whilst laying down a fibre optics cable for the naval institute at airport road, the private contractor damaged a power line connecting to the clear water pumping station at Verna. A PWD respectable stated, "At around 1pm on Wednesday, the line going to Verna sub-station was damaged. It is 33kv underground armoured cable feeding supply to Verna station". Water supply used to be stopped due to which individuals confronted super issues in the taluka. Repair work began on Wednesday afternoon and water supply recovery will likely be executed via Thursday, PWD officials stated.
