Ashish Nehra's field day with India cricketers

KOLKATA: Just-retired left-arm pacer Ashish Nehra was once on Friday eager about friendly banter along with his Indian teammates enjoying towards Sri Lanka within the first Test on his new-found position as commentator.

Bringing down the curtains on his 18-year career on November 2 in a Twenty20 International towards New Zealand at his Feroz Shah Kotla house ground in New Delhi, Nehra straight away signed up his new innings for the India-Sri Lanka collection.

Ahead of the second one day of the first Test, Nehra was once observed speaking to India's bowlers including Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja.

The 38-year previous was once also having a chat with bowling coach Bharat Arun.


"That was nothing to do with cricket," Nehra told reporters when requested what was once the talk about within the morning.


"When I used to be on the camera they all have been giggling. Because they have observed me in swimsuit so...I went to say hello to them. It was once nothing to do with cricket.


"Bharat Arun was once there so we had amusing about my new position," Nehra added.


In his 18-year career suffering from accidents, Nehra picked up 157 wickets in 120 ODIs and 44 wickets in 17 Tests. In T20s, which was once his chosen layout in his twilight days, he took 34 wickets in 27 video games.
