Assam: Report on Bezbaroa house renovation soon

SAMBALPUR: The Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (Intach) has started getting ready the detailed undertaking report (DPR) for the renovation of Assamese literary icon Lakshminath Bezbaroa's area right here.

"We are hoping to complete the DPR within two weeks. The state government has set aside Rs 50 lakh for the renovation. We will begin work on the renovation of the house with these funds after the government approves the DPR," Deepak Panda, member of the Sambalpur bankruptcy of Intach, said.


Bezbaroa, who came right here in 1917, lived in the city for 20 years. The construction, which was to be demolished to make approach for the advance of rotary junction at the Nelson Mandela Chowk, was one in all two the writer had in the city.
