BHUBANESWAR: The state government on Monday sanctioned 320 posts of academics for degree schools in the state in view of higher workload.
This raises the overall sanctioned faculty power to 2306 from the prevailing 1986 in the 51 government-run degree schools.
A senior government officer stated the posts in more than a few disciplines have been created in around 20 schools in view of new lessons being started or because of build up in pupil power there.
The absolute best 37 posts have been created in commerce, adopted through schooling (28), chemistry (27, mathematics (26) among 25 more than a few topics.
Notably, the federal government had already around 600 vacancies when the sanctioned power used to be 1986. With the 320 new posts, the vacancies upward push to greater than 900. The government will fill up the posts thru recruitment power to be undertaken through the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) quickly, the officer stated.
