On the basis of a RTI document, TOI had reported on Saturday that 224 faux clinics were running in rural Gurugram. Following this, Gurugram's chief medical officer Dr BK Rajora formed seven teams on Sunday. These teams raided all private clinics running in Pataudi, Farrukhnagar, Bhodakala, Sohna, Badshahpur and Harsaru. The teams were urged to take essential action in opposition to the violators who were treating the general public without being a registered medical practitioner. The teams were asked to take action below sections 15 (2) and (3) of Indian Medical Council Act and drugs and cosmetics act.


Through the day, the well being division inspected around 25 clinics and nursing houses, as maximum clinics were discovered to be close due to the weekend. The teams identified five faux clinics in Gurgaon's Badshahpur (2), Garhi Harsaru (1) and Farrukhanagar (2). All clinics were being run by the quacks. Out of those, two were arrested from Badshahpur, specifically, R K Biswas and Narendra Rathore. A FIR has been registered in opposition to each accused at Badshahpur police station below sections 15 (2) and (3) of Indian Medical Council Act and drugs and cosmetics act.


On Saturday, TOI had reported Fake clinics and quacks were hanging folks's lives in jeopardy within the district. A RTI unearths which are at least 224 nursing houses and clinics that are being run with no valid licence. Notably, some of these illegal clinics were discovered to be operative inside the jurisdictions of district's group well being centre (CHC) within the millennium town. "This is a serious offence as it can cause irreparable damage to people's health and life. However, we have now formed 7 teams who will conduct regular checks across district and we will not let any illegal clinic or unlicensed doctor practice in Gurugram," mentioned Dr BK Rajora.


The clinics were identified after RTI activist Mahendra Singh filed a criticism with the CM window previous this 12 months.
