MD student found dead in hostel room

Coimbatore: A 27-year-old woman, a 2nd year MD (Anatomy) student of a private clinical faculty at Peelamedu, was found lifeless inside of her hostel room on Monday. Police claimed that she was overweight and he or she might have died of cardiac arrest. Police mentioned there was no foul play in the back of the demise of the scholar. The reason for the demise might be identified simplest upon getting the postmortem report.

The deceased has been identified as Josemin Divya, 27, wife of Thomas, a local of Annamalaiyar Colony in Sivakasi in Virudhunagar district.

Police mentioned the students had observed her on Saturday evening at the hostel. She was staying within the single room at the hostel positioned inside the health facility campus. She didn't come out of her room on tomorrow while many hostel scholars went for accountability at the health facility.


Other scholars knowledgeable the hostel warden as Divya didn't cross to the canteen for breakfast on Monday. Immediately, the students and the warden went to her room and located the door locked from inside of.


However, they broke open the door and located Divya lying lifeless at the ground. A police team from Peelamedu station came to the spot and sent the frame to the Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) for postmortem.


Police mentioned Divya was overweight and he or she was greater than 150 kg. So, police suspect that she can have died of cardiac arrest. Police mentioned there was no external harm at the frame and there was no foul play in the back of the demise.
