Minimum auto fare in Davanagere fixed at Rs 26

Davanagere: From Thursday, commuters in Davanagere should pay Rs 26 as minimum autorickshaw fare.

The regional shipping authority (RTA) has set Rs 26 as fare experience until the primary 2km. Commuters should pay Rs 13 for each and every additional kilometer, knowledgeable deputy commissioner D S Ramesh. He was speaking after retaining a gathering with autorickshaw homeowners' and drivers' affiliation in the presence of RTO and police officers. "From 10pm-5am customers will have to pay one and a half times the minimum fare," he added.

Superintendent of police Bheemashankar S Guled requested auto drivers and homeowners to install recalibrated meters with the help of the prison metrology department. "There will not be any penalty if the meters are not adopted or calibrated for the first week starting Thursday. But after that if they do not have the requisite meters, the vehicles will be seized," he warned.


Guled mentioned that pre-paid autorickshaw services and products can be carried out on the earliest from the railway station and KSRTC bus stand soon.


RTO respectable V G Srinivasaiah mentioned that 4,195 automobiles are operating without lets in in the town and that they're going to be stuck and seized in the event that they fail to procure the needed allow, he warned. "As many as 15,869 autos are registered from Davanagere district as of the end of October," he added.


Autorickshaw drivers, union leaders, auto homeowners, prison metrology officers, DSP Babu, CPI Anand E and site visitors police had been provide on the meeting.
