Davanagere: From Thursday, commuters in Davanagere should pay Rs 26 as minimum autorickshaw fare.
The regional shipping authority (RTA) has set Rs 26 as fare experience until the primary 2km. Commuters should pay Rs 13 for each and every additional kilometer, knowledgeable deputy commissioner D S Ramesh. "From 10pm-5am customers will have to pay one and a half times the minimum fare," he added.
Superintendent of police Bheemashankar S Guled requested auto drivers and homeowners to install recalibrated meters with the help of the prison metrology department. "There will not be any penalty if the meters are not adopted or calibrated for the first week starting Thursday. But after that if they do not have the requisite meters, the vehicles will be seized," he warned.
Guled mentioned that pre-paid autorickshaw services and products can be carried out on the earliest from the railway station and KSRTC bus stand soon.
