GURUGRAM: Residents of sectors five, 3 and six are miffed at MCG for neglecting their areas since taking on civic responsibities in May 2016. Residents stated that they'd taken up a variety of issues, together with dangerous infrastructure, with MCG a minimum of 4 occasions however the company was once "wilfully" negligent.

"Once water supply gets affected due to snags, it takes a minimum of three days for normal supply to resume," stated Chandan, a resident of Sector five. "This is because pipelines here are laid in a way that water has to be sucked out from them completely to ensure that air isn't trapped in the passages and only then water can reach all areas. Also, many areas are at the tail-end of the pipelines and that compounds the problem."


Vashishta stated that there have been 4 motor pumps for the 3 sectors but only one was once correctly running. "Our ability to draw water is, therefore, severely affected and we are victims of frequent water shortage," he stated.


Vashishta added that remaining week, a key a part of their motor pump had burst out. "After efforts by residents and discom Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam, we restored it," he stated. "DHBVN came to our aid because we personally reached out to them."


He stated that residents had requested MCG to fix a decrepit wall in the area. "But they did not help and nearly two months ago, the wall came crashing down and crushed two vehicles."


MCG executive engineer Vikas Malik didn't return calls from TOI regardless of several makes an attempt. Another MCG legitimate, asking for anonymity, stated "legitimate demands" of the residents could be addressed. "We will certainly act in situations where it's our duty," the legitimate stated.
