Hubballi: Music is sort of a tapas (penance), and one can excel in it via steady learning, stated blind singer Mehaboob Sab, who was once runners-up in a TV song programme SaReGaMaPa.


The 22-year-old skill from Harlapur of Kundgol taluk in Dharwad district shared his experiences and enthralled the target market via rendering songs at a Kannada Rajyotsava and Sapna Suvarna Sambhrama programme at Sapna Book House right here on Sunday. To rejoice 50 years of its inception and Kannada Rajyotsava, Sapna Book House felicitated Mehaboob.


Mehaboob stated his guru was once Puttaraj Gawai, a mythical Hindustani vocalist, who was once blind, and hailed from Gadag. "My uncle got me admitted to an ashram in Davanagere. Gawai taught me classical music and vachanas. I sang on the radio at the age of nine. It is because of the blessings of Gawai that I achieved this feat," he stated.


The singer stated he needs to open a song faculty for disabled other people and kids from deficient households. He thanked playback singers Rajesh Krishnan and Vijay Prakash, and song director Arjun Janya, for his or her enhance in SaReGaMaPa. Mehaboob mesmerized the target market with many songs.
