GUWAHATI: An accused in the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) cash-for-job scam Rajarshi Sen Deka, son of former Congress minister Nilamani Sen Deka, used to be despatched to judicial custody on Sunday.
After evading arrest since police introduced a crackdown at the erring APSC officers, he had surrendered on November 13.
"He will be produced before the court again after 14 days," police resources stated. Out of the overall 23 accused arrested so far, no less than 22 have completed their police remand and despatched to judicial custody. Two extra accused were absconding till the time of submitting the record. They are, alternatively, expected to give up before a court docket shortly.

After finalizing the deals, these middlemen used to introduce the candidates with key accused Rakesh Paul who had helped them in tampering the selection," resources stated.
One such middleman known as Sudeep Das used to be found to be serious about most of the deals in the cash for activity scam that took place right through 2013-2015. A resident of the city's Ananda Nagar space, Das has been absconding since Paul fell into police internet last yr.
"No one has seen him for a long time. Though some of his family members were staying, they were also to be seen for a few weeks now," an area from the Ananda Nagar space alleged. Sources imagine Das left the state way back.
