Woman journalist takes to social media, narrates ordeal at Pink auto booth in Gurugram

GURUGRAM: A woman journalist from Delhi alleged that she had an uncongenial experience on the Pink auto booth on MG Road in Gurgaon on Sunday evening, when an auto motive force assigned to her insisted that he would take one of his accomplices together with her all the way through the trip.


The journalist, who works with a international information agency, told TOI, "When I opposed the auto driver's decision to take his accomplice in the auto owing to safety concerns, he asked me to get down and hail another auto. After I did that, the person on duty at the booth refused to give me my slip back," the journalist said. She later shared her experience on Twitter and Instagram.


Her ordeal didn't finish there. She alleged that the individual on the booth counter were given right into a scuffle with her. Cops, who had been gazing the whole episode until then, intervened ultimately.


"The auto driver told cops that he was teaching the other person to drive and that is why he was accompanying them. The cop then told me not to create a scene and asked me to go home," she said. The journalist had come to Gurgaon to consult with her mother.


This is not the first time that such considerations were raised in regards to the Pink auto carrier, which used to be initially introduced for providing secure and protected go back and forth for girls in the town. Earlier as neatly, several women commuters had expressed considerations in regards to the carrier, and pointed out the way it had did not serve the purpose.
