Belagavi: Market police have registered a grievance against 25 people, including ladies, in reference to the alleged chanting of non secular slogans at the courtroom premises right here on December 19. They were booked under sections 143, 147 and 153 (A) sub-section 149 of the IPC.
Group chanted non secular slogans, opposing the arrest of 23 youths in reference to communal violence case that broke out at Khadak Galli on December 18. Three policemen, including ACP Shankar Marihal, had been injured within the case.
Family contributors of arrested youths chanted slogans whilst they had been produced before the courtroom. Belagavi Bar Association took the incident significantly and complained to the primary district and classes judge R J Satish Singh, claiming that the incident was an insult to the courtroom. The district judge prompt town police to do so.
On Saturday, DCP (regulation and order) suspended constables S N Patil and I S Patil of Market police station for dereliction in accountability. Both had been on accountability at the courtroom premises.
