ED files chargesheet against Lalu's daughter Misa Bharti

NEW DELHI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) as of late filed chargesheet against RJD leader Lalu Prasad's daughter Misa Bharti and her husband in a money laundering case.

ED suggest Nitesh Rana filed the chargesheet prior to the courtroom of Special Judge N Ok Malhotra.

The probe agency had earlier connected+ a Delhi farmhouse in reference to its money laundering probe against Bharti and her husband, Shailesh Kumar.

The farmhouse, located at 26, Palam Farms in south Delhi's Bijwasan house was once connected provisionally under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

It belongs to Bharti and Kumar and is "held in the name of Ms Mishail Packers and Printers Private Limited", the central probe agency said.

"It was purchased using Rs 1.2 crore involved in money laundering in the year 2008-09," the ED alleged.

The agency had also performed raids at this location and few others in July as a part of its probe against two brothers, Surendra Kumar Jain and Virendra Jain, and others who've been speculated to have laundered several crore rupees using shell corporations.

The Jain brothers had been arrested+ by means of the ED under the PMLA.

It had also arrested a chartered accountant, Rajesh Agrawal, who mediated and supplied a cash amount of "Rs 90 lakh to the Jain brothers in advance so as to invest in Ms Mishail Packers and Printers Pvt Ltd as share premium".

One of the firms that the arrested duo dealt with was once Mishail Printers and Packers Private Limited.

Bharti and her husband are speculated to have been administrators of this firm prior to now.


"The corporate, Ms Mishail Packers and Printers, was once registered at the deal with 25, Tuglak Road, New Delhi until the stocks had been purchased by means of Bharti.


"It was once most effective throughout the yr 2009-10 that the deal with was once changed to farm no 26 Palam Farms, VPO Bijwasan, New Delhi. Bharti and Kumar had been the administrators of the corporate throughout the relevant length," it said.

The agency said the Jain brothers, CA Agrawal and the daughter and the son-in-law of the previous Bihar leader minister had been the "key individuals behind the money laundering of Rs 1.2 crore."
