Government extends deadline for file final GST returns till January 10

NEW DELHI: The government has prolonged by means of 10 days the closing date for submitting of final gross sales go back GSTR-1 till January 10 under the Goods and Services Tax, resources stated.
Businesses with turnover of as much as Rs 1.5 crore must document GSTR-1 for July-September by means of January 10, 2018, as against December 31, 2017 previous.

For businesses with turnover of more than Rs 1.5 crore GSTR-1 has to be filed for the length July-November by means of January 10.


Earlier these businesses were required to document GSTR-1 go back for July-October by means of December 31 and that for November by means of January 10.


For the month of December, GSTR-1 is to be filed by means of February 10 and for next months, it might be 10th day of the succeeding month.


The GST Council had in November allowed businesses with turnover of as much as Rs 1.5 crore to document ultimate returns GSTR-1 quarterly.


Businesses with turnover of as much as Rs 1.5 crore must document returns by means of February 15 for the length October- December and that for January-March by means of April 30.
