Gurgaon: A traffic cop was assaulted via a man in Pataudi on Thursday after he asked him to move his automobile, which was inflicting a traffic jam on Rewari Road.
The incident took place at Rewari Chowk on Thursday night time when Balwaan Singh, who was posted at the spot, asked the driver of a Scorpio to move his automobile. According to the cop, the SUV was parked on one facet of the cramped chowk and was obstructing traffic.
This allegedly prompted an issue which heated up quickly and the driver assaulted the cop and tore his uniform. There was someone else in the automobile but he stayed out of the brawl. Though the 2 males fled the spot after the incident, the cop were given the registration collection of the auto.
An FIR has been filed at Pataudi police station under sections 283 (obstruction in public approach or line of navigation), 332 (inflicting harm to discourage public servant from his duty), 353 (attack to discourage public servant from discharge of his duty), 186 (obstructing public servant in discharge of duty) and 506 (legal intimidation) of the IPC. "We will arrest them soon," stated ASI Ashok Kumar.
