BHUBANESWAR: Several Muslim intellectuals from Odisha, some of them clerics, joined the opposition Congress and the ruling Biju Janata Dal in opposing the triple talaq bill passed within the Lok Sabha on Thursday.
They condemned the 'hasty' tabling and passing of the Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill, 2017, on the quick talaq issue.
