BHUBANESWAR: Day after removing him from the cupboard, BJD president and chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday got rid of Damodar Rout as vp of the Biju Janata Dal.
"The president of BJD has been pleased to relieve Damodar Rout from the post of vice president, BJD as well as from the post of observer of Dhenkanal district with immediate effect," BJD vp and minister Usha Devi stated in a press unencumber.
Naveen on Friday pushed aside the 75-year old chief from the cupboard for his derogatory remarks towards Brahmin group at a cultural function in Malkangiri on December 18.
