No more 'car-o-bar’ in Gurugram

GURUGRAM: The district police has introduced a force towards the 'car-o-bar'. A two week long force is recently on in the district all the way through which police officers have registered 534 instances of public consuming and arrested 549 other folks. The force commenced on December 20 and will proceed till January five, 2018.

During the force, around 224 instances had been registered in West Gurugram and 229 other folks had been arrested. In East zone, 216 instances and 225 arrests had been made. Similarly, in South zone 94 instances had been registered and 95 accused had been booked till December 28, despite the fact that the force will proceed for every other week. The instances had been registered and accused had been booked beneath section 68-1-14 of Excise Act.


Sushant Lok tops the charts with 58 instances and 61 arrests for public consuming. It demands stringent action by the law and we are taking necessary action," said Sandeep Khirwar, police commissioner, Gurugram.
