HUBBALLI: While persons are set to chant "Let's Go Party Tonight!", police have initiated all measures to ensure non violent New Year celebrations around the dual cities. Prominent accommodations, bars and restaurants were giving final touches to the party this night. Police assets said that the partying will probably be permitted until 1am simplest. HubballiDharwad police commissioner M N Nagaraj said that serving of liquor past the stipulated time, which is 11pm as in line with the liquor license terms and stipulations, is illegal and the violators will probably be prosecuted.
"Police deployment will be made across the city to see that no untoward incident takes place. The people can celebrate the festival peacefully without disturbing anyone. The parties in hotels should end by 1am only. Those who indulge in peace disturbing activities will be prosecuted," he warned.
