COIMBATORE: After superstar Rajinikanth announced his choice to drift a political birthday party, his enthusiasts in Coimbatore on Sunday gave the impression to be in a position for doing the ground paintings for it, even prior to the announcement of the birthday party identify.
Nagarajan M, president of the Rajini Fan Club, said they might get started paintings to "convert" Rajnikanth enthusiasts into birthday party cadre.
"We will go to every street in the city and add members to his party and do this on a priority basis. After that, we will act based on the instructions of our Thalaivar (Rajinikanth)," he said.
Nagarajan said after Chennai, Coimbatore has the biggest fan base for the superstar.
He said, "We formed the Rajini Fan Club several decades ago. Nearly 560 fan clubs in Coimbatore city are registered with the Akila India Rajinikanth Rasigar Narpani Mandram, that is based in Chennai. There are 500 more registered clubs in rural Coimbatore. Besides, there are around 500 clubs that have not been registered as registrations were stopped in 1996. Each club has a minimum membership of 25."
Celebrating the announcement of superstar Rajanikanth, individuals of various fan golf equipment and a few parties in the town burst crackers and dispensed chocolates among public.
In SIHS Colony close to Ondipudur, Tamil Maanila Congress member R Surendhar who may be a member of the Rajini Fan Club, burst crackers and held posters celebrating the superstar's entry into politics. "We are very happy that he is finally taking this big leap. Tamil Nadu has lacked a strong political leader for more than a year now. He has shown his support to our party (TMC) on several occasions, and we will help him take forward his party," said R Surendhar.
Hindu Makkal Katchi individuals carried out pujas and also dispensed chocolates.
