GUWAHATI: Chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal went to a number one school in Majuli on Wednesday for a fact check as part of the third phase of Gunotsav - a mega educative exercise that began in the state to gauge the standard of education and academic surroundings at the basic degree of government-run faculties in 13 districts of the state - began on Wednesday.
Ministers, IAS and IPS officials, along side senior government officers, act as exterior evaluators in Gunotsav - an exercise adapted from Gujarat through the BJP-led government in Assam remaining year. Over 12 lakh students from about 18,000 government-run faculties of the state are taking part in the third phase of Gunotsav involving students from Class II to VIII.
Sonowal visited the No 2 Sadar LP School in Majuli district to take inventory of the internal analysis carried out through the teachers and inspected the infrastructure as well as the cleanliness in the school. "The previous two phases of the Gunotsav have immensely contributed to improve the academic environment in the state. It has given a major push in changing the mindset of teachers," he said.
Interacting with the teachers and students of the varsity, the executive minister said the former two stages of Gunotsav have introduced sure adjustments in the state's school education state of affairs. Stating that children are the way forward for the nation, Sonowal emphasised on the position of lecturers and parents in construction their personality and personality. He suggested the teachers to generate consciousness among students in regards to the significance of surroundings and maintaining cleanliness for a healthy life. The leader minister additionally preferred the cooperation extended through the folk in the remaining two stages of Gunotsav.
