Karwar: Former minister Anand Asnotikar, who entered Uttara Kannada at Majali checkpost on Karwar-Goa border for the first time after joining the JD(S), left his followers embarrassed after he declaring that he would vow to verify the victory of BJP in at least five out the six constituencies within the district.
Asnotikar, who switched his loyalty from BJP to JD(S) within the presence of HD Deve Gowda in Bengaluru lately, reached Karwar where his followers gave him a rousing reception. Asnotikar said he would fight on a JD(S) price ticket within the assembly election. However, many a times he had a slip of tongue and mentioned that he would paintings towards the victory of BJP, although he later corrected it. This repeated faux pas left his followers red-faced, who it appears tried to protect him pronouncing that since he was with the BJP for over a decade it could take him some time emotionally and psychologically to get used to the brand new circumstances.
He said JD(S) will open its account in Karwar assembly constituency, including that leaders HD Deve Gowda and HD Kumaraswamy have assured him complete fortify.
